Oil spill control system

Introduction
This problem has been solved in the environmental technology field through small and midsize company cooperation. This kind of cooperative project began from the need of three top companies in the environmental technology field to create a broad and vertically supplementing entity for their products.
Finland is known worldwide for its top environmental technology, much of which has been developed by small and midsize companies. The traditional problem for small and midsize companies has been limited resources with which to realize their truly global product ideas and to get the message across to the world.
As a result of this, the new ECO OIL SPILL CONTROL SYSTEM was created to restore waterways (for example, from oil spillage or other floating waste). The departure point for the idea was the need identified in the market for a compact, easily transported equipment package that could be used for carrying and spreading oil absorbents to problem areas, for collecting used oil absorbents, and for the treatment of oily waste. In addition to these properties, the equipment package should also work for other floating waste, for which it would be used in ports and coastal areas on a daily basis.
All the partners active in the cooperation are top professionals in their field. Biokasvu Oy has broad experience in oil absorbents. The role of its decomposable absorbent ECO OIL EATER, which it developed completely from natural fibers and recycled materials, was central for the success of the project, for it floats and the oil can be squeezed from it. RS-Suunnittelu Oy has many years of practical experience in the design and manufacture of machines used in different kinds of waterways. Ekomp Oy is specialized in the design and manufacture of different kinds of waste-handling equipment.
Thus, the problems to do with treatment of oily waste were solved by taking advantage of the expertise in the field. The synergetic advantages created by the expertise of the cooperating partners in their fields was the determining factor in the development of the ECO OIL SPILL CONTROL SYSTEM package for global waterway restoration.
